Activists Across the Country Are Gearing Up for a Nation-Wide Response
EVANSVILLE, Indiana – As the nation waits to see if President Donald Trump will fire Special
Counsel Robert Mueller, activists across the country are gearing up for a nation-wide response. Indiana is
no different. Indivisible Evansville is making contingency plans for protests here locally.
If Mueller is fired before 2:00 p.m. Eastern Time, protests will begin at 5:00 p.m. local time the
same day. If Mueller is fired after 2:00 p.m. Eastern Time, protests will begin at noon local time the
following day. Protests will be held at the Four Freedoms Monument, located at 201 SE Riverside Drive,
Evansville, Indiana. Everyone participating in the protests will be required to abide by all applicable laws
and lawful orders of authorities. The protests will be nonviolent and will not involve any civil disobedience
or other violation of law. A press release will go out on the day of the protests with additional details,
including a timeline of events pertaining to the Russia investigation.
“We call on Congressman Bucshon, and Senators Donnelly and Young, to do everything in their
power to prevent President Trump from firing Special Counsel Robert Mueller,” said Edith Hardcastle,
president of Indivisible Evansville. “The U.S. intelligence community has concluded that Russia
successfully waged a covert intelligence and overt propaganda operation to undermine the 2016 election.
Americans deserve to know what, if any, help Moscow received from President Trump and members of
his campaign. This can only be accomplished by a full and thorough investigation, free from interference.”
Indivisible Evansville is one of nearly 6,000, nation-wide Indivisible groups, formed to
counterbalance the extreme elements of the Trump Agenda. Its mission is to protect our rights,
institutions, and values through local, grassroots activism—without the vitriol. More information,
